Policy
After the initial estimate is sent out, approved and accepted by the Client either through email or verbally, the Client has agreed to the stated work described in the estimate/invoice.

Half the cost of the alterations is due at your first fitting. The remaining balance will be due at your second fitting.

If the full time frame is not available for the project, a rush fee between $50-$250 may be added to alterations cost.

Bridal alterations take three fittings with a minimum of three weeks between fittings. Gown must be picked up at final fitting.

Other alterations take two fittings with a minimum of two weeks between fittings. Gown must be picked up at final fitting.

Custom projects will vary in fitting quantity but will need a minimum of two fittings, varying on size of project.

Once alterations or custom projects have begun, the dress or item will stay in the care of your seamstress until the client’s final fitting. Once signed, client is fully responsible for gown or item.

Should the Client cancel a submitted project for any reason, the following will apply:

If alterations/ projects have been canceled before they begun, the deposit made towards the alterations/project will not be refunded. No additional cost is required.

If alterations/projects are canceled once they have begun, a $50 fee is required along with the cost of time spent on alterations/project calculated by Meredith Gill Designs. (This will include time already spent working on the alterations/project, time for fittings, communication, supply cost, etc.)

If alterations/ projects have been completed, full payment is still required but no additional fee will be charged.

If the reason alterations/ projects are being released back to Client before completion are due to wedding/ event being postponed, payment is still required for alterations/ projects and the dress must be picked up within 30 days of your last fitting.

If alterations/projects are released back to Client for any reason before completion due to client canceling, the client may not speak poorly or leave untruthful reviews of Meredith Gill Designs by means of defamation. Failure to do this will result in legal action.​

If the garment is released to the Client, Client is fully responsible for their garment/project, and Meredith Gill Designs will be released from any responsibility or care of the garment/project from that date.
